EAR CANDLING
Also known as coning or ear funneling, candling was practiced by the ancient Greeks & Egyptians before almost becoming lost to modern practice.
Ear candling involves inserting a long hollow candle into the ear and lighting the other end. The candles work using the process of convection, where the heat will cause soft wax and toxins to be drawn out of the ear through the centre of the candle.
The pictures to the right show the process and the resultant ear wax removed.
Benefits of Ear Candling May Include:
-
Removes excess ear wax
-
Relief in symptoms of an ear infection
-
Helps to alleviate tinnitus
-
Relief from sinus pain and pressure
-
Helps to alleviate vertigo
-
Relief from headaches
-
Draws out fungus and debris from ear canals
